My <3 belongs in Texas.

with one comment

I don’t think I really need to go into great detail of how my Texas trip went. I ate, drank, danced, drank some more and hung out with my favorite people. After experiencing a chill weekend in Austin, Texas… I want to move out to Texas even more. I swear, I’ve wanted to ever since the first time I’ve been there. That was nearly 10 years ago. Want to see pictures? Go here: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2013298&id=139700589&l=f15dbefc2b

I’m pretty lazy anyway lol. But before I left, I hung out with MG & the boys on Wednesday at RA.

When I got back, I got to hang out with Grace on Wednesday night for dinner. Girl, I freaking love you. <3

It’s Labor Day weekend… and I’m going to a Korean concert, SMTown. This should be interesting. My outfit’s cute! LOL. I’ll post pictures when I can.

…and to top it off. I’m sick. Teehee.

Kuya Weekend :D

without comments

I had one of the best weekends in a long time.

Friday, August 13th — I had a very long day. I woke up super early for work in my smell splint and took forever to get ready for work. I got frustrated with the crutches so I was limping all day at work. Maybe not the best idea. After work, my brother took me to Kaiser so I could see the orthopedic doctor. They removed my splint and I have never seen so many bruises on my leg. If I wasn’t in the splint, I wouldn’t have any bruises at all! After an hour at the hospital, Steven and I went to Spoon House where we coincidentally bumped into John. We hung out, came back to the house. I was working/tutoring for a couple hours. After she left, Steven, John and I went to Tea Station and got some boba. We hung out outside for a bit and went our own ways. I felt bad because I really wanted to hang out with my friends at CJ’s, but that night ended up being a night I needed after all the physical and mental stress I’ve been under.

Saturday, August 14th — I woke up early, and I don’t really know why. Just habit I suppose. Steven, John and I had plans to go to Little Tokyo so Steven could try the Orochon challenge! He ended up getting the Extreme, not the Special #2, and he was sweating profusely. It was awesome. The people around us were trying too and we were so loud! It was so much fun. After, we headed back to Gardena and headed to Redondo Beach to get some frozen yogurt at Menchie’s. That place is WAY better than Skinny Minny’s, Yogurtland, and Pinkberry. OMG. Yum. We went our separate ways and I went home to take a nap. I was wearing my boot all day, and that really drains the energy out of you! Around 6, Steven and I went to the Galleria to go shopping. He’s losing a lot of weight, and I’m jealous. I lost 4 lb this week though from barely eating! :( We hung out and went to Valentino’s Pizza for dinner. Hung out out home, and KO by 11pm.

Sunday, August 15th — Dan came over around 10:30am and we headed out to the Original House of Pancakes for breakfast. He got the Eggs Benedict and I got my chocolate chip pancakes. YUMMIE. I devoured it all. We drove around the beach cities and ended up at my old job to find pants that I can wear with my boot. After, we went back to my house and watched Date Night, and Kick Ass. It was nice :]

Yesterday, I drove home from work with less pain. I just need to stretch my ankle before doing anything. I ended up bumming it at home and started Season 1 of One Tree Hill. I need to go get the 7th season soon. It comes out today! I pretty much spent yesterday rehabilitating my ankle, watching tv… and at night, I ended up talking to a good friend.

I’m excited for next week! I’m going to Texas! I need a break from LA anyway. Hopefully, my ankle will be better so I can at least walk at a normal pace. LOL.

It’s Robbery.

Yesterday, Dan and his brother and his girlfriend came to my area to hang out. We ended up heading to Del Amo right when I got home from work and watched Inception. This is the 2nd time I saw it so I got to enjoy it without being confused. I think the movie junk food gave me a stomach ache because I’m not used to eating so much junk food in one sitting :(

After the movie, we went to Hakata Ramen and had our noodles. I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. I’ve been dieting so I think my appetite really is being suppressed dramatically. Just like most days with Dan, I always find a reason to ruin it. Yes, I fail. Miserably.

Today’s Thursday. I want tomorrow to come so I can get started on my 2nd temp job. Then fast foward through the weekend and work again on Monday. I think I’m going to be a workaholic.

Anyways, I only had 2 hours of sleep — and this is what I thought about:

I always try to fix things on the spot; if I can’t fix it, then I blame myself entirely.

Not a good way of thinking, huh? I think when my mind goes on auto-pilot, this is when I get dramatic :( Boo to you, mental health.

“I didn’t mean to fall in love with you
And baby there’s a name for what you put me through
It isn’t love, it’s robbery
I’m sleeping with the ghost of you and me

The ghost of you and me
When will it set me free
I hear the voices call
Following footsteps down the hall
Trying to save what’s left of my heart and soul”

So, come on baby…

“…take my hand, and hold up steady when you shoot your gun. This town can burn and fall apart, I don’t even care, baby we can run tonight.”Dude. I’m tired. I haven’t been this tired in a long while. But you know, it’s a good kind :)

Friday, July 23rd – I met up with MG at Ra for Happy Hour. After eating our sushi and my tempura calamari & miso soup, Erika joined us. We were just talking and hanging out. After, Erika went shopping for her Vegas trip. MG wanted me to dress up with her, and me being me, I was already wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and my flip flops. After the mall closed, MG and I went to my house so I can dress up a little. We met up with Erika again, and we pre-partied. I felt like crap. Cheers to a good night!

Saturday, July 24th – Dan came to my house at 7:30am. I was dying of exhaustion. Dan and I headed out ASAP to Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach to reserve a table for my month-long planned picnic. Lucy, MG, and Joe showed up and it was the 5 of us. Everyone else was an effin’ fail. Anyways, my best friends were there and I had fun. MG and Joe had to leave because they had another event to go to. So, Dan, Lucy and I explored the park, headed back to my house, chilled, and headed out again to watch Inception and you know what… everyone’s right. It’s a really good movie!! I want to watch it again. After the movie, we got some pretzels for a mini snack. Around 7, we met up with my brother at a Thai restaurant and had dinner. It was chill. We all went back to my house and we ended up watching Scream. Lucy has never seen it! Crazy bitch. LOL. After Lucy left, Dan and I were relaxing after our super duper long day.

Sunday, July 25th – I spent the day at Dan’s. We went to the mall with his brother so he can meet up with his girl. We ran errands and went back home. Our Sundays usually consist of staying in, watching TV, grubbing and etcetera. We had Red Devil Pizza om nom nom!!

Today, I was so tired at work. After, I went to the gym and I think some guy passed out in the basketball court. The paramedics and firemen came and it was just like o.O

I’m lazy now; time to catch up with Pretty Little Liars :D

That’s not a very good picture of me :[ but, after being MIA for so long, it was about time I just convinced myself to go out. This time, no anxiety attack! LOL.

FRIDAY, July 16th — After work, I hung out at home and I had forgotten I texted everyone to see what’s going down that night. Mia texted me that they were going to this Rock & Roll bar in Redondo Beach, so Rafa and I headed out there. It was a really chill place, I liked it :D I saw one of my old coworkers there who’s friends with Mia’s friends — small damn world. After, they were going to head over to Norms but I was too tired to join them :[ I’m glad Mia got me back out into the social scene… I definitely needed it :D <3

SATURDAY, July 17th — I woke up as early as I could and went to Dan’s house. He cooked me a mean ass breakfast (waffles, eggs, chorizo, sausage, and toast). We hung out at his pad, napped and watched movies all day. We went to UPS to ship that huge box of stuff for my cousin up in Northern California. We went home and stayed home. It was just perfect though :D

SUNDAY, July 18th — Dan came over and we went to have lunch with my brother at The Counter. Freaking om nom nom status foo! We ended up coming home and napping again! The heat just made us lazy. We watched the Karate Kid to kill time. Then we met up with Lucy & Paco for a mini double date dinner at Hakata Ramen. We got the floor table to experience the authenticity of Japanese culture ;) Poor Paco had problems :( After dinner, we went to Target (I was being pushed in a damn cart) to roam around and look for Operation to play (too bad I was too tired, sorry guys)… I ran into my old friend, Krystle with her boyfriend and daughter. Lucy&Paco and Dan&I parted and went our separate ways after goofing around in the parking lot. Dan and I hung out at home until we finished watching Revenge of the Nerds.

I had a great weekend. I feel less stressed and way happier :D

Thanks, guys <3

To close, I got this off of one of my friend’s status on Facebook:

Seriously! Quit playing….

…games with my heart.

I was listening to the Backstreet Boys yesterday and that song came on. SIGH.

Anyways, this past weekend, I ended up gyming it after work on Friday (something I normally don’t do). I suppose I was feeling pretty shitty about my whole week. Later that day, I ended up receiving a text from an old friend. I’m hoping that this is the baby steps to being friends again. THat seriously made my day.

Saturday, I went to Dan’s house after my doctor’s appointment and we just hung out all day. We went to Pizza & Such in Claremont. I swear, their salad is so good, but the rest of the stuff is… crap. You’re pretty much going to and paying for a sit down restaurant food, but consuming mall food. I was extremely disappointed. After that, we went back to his house full of chaos. His brother just came back from the military and they were rearranging his room to fit his new (and comfortable) bed. I met his girlfriend who’s from Texas. Dan’s dad ordered pizza for everyone and it was yummy. It kind of sucked because we were still full from our snack in Claremont. Later on in the evening, we watched Shes Out of My League. It was pretty funny.

Sunday, I asked Dan to come over but my dad banned us from the house because he was doing laundry. So, we went to Cerritos Mall. We haven’t been there in a while. He made me window shop :[ We ended up watching Grown Ups -- it was okay. I mean it was still good, but I think I was too cranky because he didn't let me buy anything! After, we headed to Rocketship Park to hang out. We were swinging, we climbed the rocketship (imagine tall ass Dan squeezing in there LOL), and having a ball doing ninja moves down the slide. I tried surfing down the slide and I think I bruised my tailbone :[ After, we got hungry and we went to Hakata Ramen. Lucy & Paco met up with us so we had a little mini double date! It was cool :] I’m glad my bff drove out here! We walked to Target after to surpass the food coma and I saw Nancy with Bola! They drove up to me and I just said my hello’s and whatnot <3 At Target, I bought that new Covergirl Mascara for volume AND length. I haven’t tried it yet but hopefully it doesn’t disappoint. I also bought Dennis the Menace and I still need to watch it LOL. After, we went our separate way — Dan and I got back to my house, I showered, and just hung out with him in the living room. Sunday was a really good day! I got to see my bf, bff, and bffco and had some good food om nom nom.

Let’s hope this week goes good :D

In a heartbeat

Life is great… (to update you since I last blogged) Here’s why:

Friday, May 21, 2010 — I finally got to meet my cousin’s daughter <3 I ended up taking the day off and went to San Diego to meet up with cousin Marilyn, met her boyfriend, Christian, and their daughter, Millie. I swear, after 5 years of non-stop texting, we hung out and it’s as if we hung out all the time. I’m pretty damn sure that if we lived closer, we’d totally be BFFs.

Saturday, May 29, 2010 — My family and I went to the Stinking Rose in Beverly Hills. EXCELLENT food. I can’t wait to take Dan there. After an exquisite lunch with my family, me and my parents headed over to Hollywood to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. Not sure if I spelled that correctly, but it was pretty fun. I never knew just HOW animated me and my mom are when we’re goofing off. It was fun, especially since I don’t really get to go out with my parents.

(feeling broken for a while)

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 — My cousin Kimmie posted this about me on Facebook (you know those typical chain statuses…) – “psh, like there are words to say how much i love you. just mentioning a couple things: i find your loyalty OUTSTANDING. you’re one of very few that i really trust. which of course leads to how you’re such a great friend.” I’m glad she can recognize that. Too bad… I wish more of my so called friends could acknowledge it too.

Sunday, June 6, 2010 — LUCY DAY — I ended up going to her pad around 3pm. We ended up going to the movies and we watched Prince of Persia. Jake <3 It was a good movie. We went to Island’s and we had our drinks and food om nom nom. The waitress who was serving us kept looking at me. I think she was lesbian (X WITHOUT THE SCISSORING lolol). We caught up and I seriously needed that day with my BFF. I love you, Lucy!

Thursday, June 10, 2010 — Dan came to finally visit me after like a million months of fixing his car! We ended up watching Iron Man 2. I still like the first one better. The guys in front of us… they were on a br0-date. It was so cute seeing them watch the movie together… except with a seat in between each other. I guess guys are too macho to share an armrest. INSECURE!! lol.  We didn’t do much considering I was super tired. But I was so happy to see my boyfriend in the downtown LA region <3

Saturday, June 12, 2010 — HAPPY GRADUATION TO DAN! He did it! I’m so proud of him. I invited some friends but the only person who pulled through to share that special occasion with was Lucy. I love you BFF! I like how you’ve been spending the night lately lol. I ended up knocking out on the floor cuz we went out the night before.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 — I went to Dan’s pad and we just hung out. We went to FlappyJacks on Route 66 for breakfast. Then we got lazy. I honestly do not remember what the hell we did that day. We saw The Karate Kid, and I freaked out…I texted my Dad saying I forgot Father’s Day and blah blah. But… it wasn’t Father’s Day. Yeah, I’m nuts haha.

Tuesday, June 15, 2010 — After a lame and lazy 30 minute cardio work out, I ditched the gym and got ready to go hang out with MG, Joe, Rafa and Chang. We went to Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffle. GOOD SHIT. I seriously felt the cholesterol the next day. It was THAT good. I feel so hood now.

Wednesday, June 16, 2010 — Dan came over after I got off work and we made ourselves some Spam and Eggs for a snack. We ended up meeting  with MG and Joe at Ra Sushi for Happy Hour! Of course, MG and I got wasted. I think MG was more wasted (as usual) lol. After, Dan took me shopping. He got me a couple of books from Urban Outfitters and bought me clothes at JCPenny. JCPenny isn’t usually my style, at least the junior section, but the misses has CUTE outfits. Maybe I’ve grown to a more sophisticated taste. I’m over all the non-classic outfits. LOL. Damn, life.

Saturday, June 19, 2010 — Dan came over first thing in the morning. I’m glad I get to see him more often. I was feeling UGH from the night before… but we went to King’s Hawaiian for breakfast. It was so yummy! It really hit the spot. It was Dan’s first time So I was glad that he got to enjoy it. After, we went to JCPenny again and I ended up buying 3 more dresses. When we got home, I started getting ready to go out. We went to Pirates Dinner Adventure in Buena Park. It was SO freaking cool. I think I was louder than the kids next to me -_- Pfft, whatever. I paid for it, I get to enjoy it the way I wanted to. I got drunk during the preshow — made the show show even better, especially since I get a bit rowdy when under the influence of alcohol. We got home around 7:30pm and we just hung out at home watching tv. I’m glad I didn’t cancel the reservations.

Sunday, June 20, 2010 — Happy Father’s Day to POPS! He didn’t want to do anything so we just left him alone. My brother and I were out having lunch at The Counter. We brought home food for our parents. We left our gift (a classic, acoustic guitar) and he loved it… I think.

That’s pretty much all I’ve been up to.

Life is great… and that’s why :D
